Senhora da Rocha – Hotel Viking evacuated

A fire this morning at the Pestana Viking Hotel site in Senhora da Rocha, Lagoa, forced management to evacuate guests from the popular hotel.

According to the commander of the Lagoa Bombeiros, Vítor Rio, the station received the alert shortly before 08:00 on Wednesday morning.

Firefighters from Lagoa, Portimão, Albufeira and Silves stations soon were at the scene, a car parking building next to the hotel.

Before it was fully extinguished, the fire destroyed six cars and a motorcycle, causing damage to other vehicles.
