Portimão tackles worries by providing psychological support for those self-isolating

In an effort to aid in coping with the mental health struggles resulting from COVID-19 worries, and with more and more people and families in isolation and working from home, the municipality of Portimão will start to provide, starting this Thursday, March 19th, a psychological support service, especially to help younger people or older people who are at home without support, through the Protection24 line.

Faced with the closing of schools and the sudden change in the daily lives of many Portimão families, psychologists working for the municipality, usually within the municipal socio-educational intervention teams, are now available to contact through the telephone number 808 282 112 between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm, in order to respond and assist in resolving any situations that arise and about which the individuals need emotional support and advice.
