Portimão Stunt Man Hits The Screens Alongside Mark Wahlberg and Antonio Banderas

Algarve born film actor and stuntman David Chan Cordeiro hits the screens in his latest mega Hollywood production, “Uncharted’ an action film that arrived in cinemas last Thursday. 

The Portuguese double plays the role of a mercenary who tries several times to stop Drake (Tom Holland) from pursuing his intentions. Other stars in the film include Mark Wahlberg and Antonio Banderas.

David was born in Portimão, the son of a Chinese mother and a Portuguese father. From a very young age he began to dedicate himself to martial arts. He spent his childhood watching action movies, with his action heroes being Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Bruce Lee, Jean-Claude Van Damme and Chuck Norris.

He studied and worked in the USA, but returned to Portugal and opened his own stunt company, MAD Stunts. Today he is one of the market leaders and his name appears in the credits of more than a hundred films, series or soap operas.

He has been working in Hollywood for several years, having participated in: “Red Moon”, “Perfeito Coração”, “Salted Sea”, “Única Mulher”, “São Jorge”, “The Bodyguard and the Assassin” , “Gold Gold”, “Inspector Max”, “Captain Falcon”, “Colour out of Space” and “Luck Coup”.

Talikng about his latest project, the Hollywood action move “Uncharted”, Chan revealed “over the course of eight weeks, my work consisted mainly of choreographing fights, climbing and working with firearms”.
