Police detain two suspects for violent thefts in the Algarve
Yesterday, the Judiciary Police (PJ) detained two men suspected of being the perpetrators of violent robberies in isolated locations in the municipalities of Faro, Loulé and Tavira.

span>A statement from the Judiciary Police confirmed that after investigations also involving the National Republican Guard and Faro Public Security Police, the two men, aged 27 and 28, were detained in a joint operation, called “Western,” involving violent robberies that occurred recently in the above mentioned Algarve counties.
span>“The operation consisted of carrying out several home and non-home searches in the Faro area, having been able to collect solid evidence and to arrest the suspects of being involved in the practice of these crimes, thus sustaining the respective criminal activity ”, reads the document.
span>According to the PJ, “good articulation and full cooperation between the criminal police bodies involved was essential to the result obtained”.
