Fatal stabbing in Praia da Rocha
The victim of a knife attack in Praia da Rocha, Portimao, died of his injuries in the Barlavento hospital (pictured) on Saturday morning.
Brálio Tomé was stabbed in the neck after refusing to hand over a cigarette.
The attacker has been identified by the Judicial Police, which had set up a manhunt.
The attack happened at 04:00 on Saturday morning in Rua António Feu Street, next to the Mira Sol Building.
The attacker was dressed in black jogging gear and fled the scene after the stabbing, leaving the victim bleeding on the ground with serious injuries. Brálio Tomé was assisted on the spot by an INEM team and transported to the hospital in Portimão, where he arrived at 05:00.
Police later arrested a man who will be charged with Tomé’s death.
