The teenage children of a nurse who went inexplicably missing on Monday in Lisbon have launched a desperate appeal for information over social media.
The call for help has been picked up by media sources, and it is understood that police have “received alerts from members of the public who say they have seen her”.
But as of lunchtime today, there is no news of 49-year-old Célia Paulo having been found.
The mother-of-two should have started her shift at Hospital Santa Maria at 3.30pm on Monday,
It appears she was last seen some hours later in Paço do Lumiar (about 4kms from Santa Maria Hospital).
A family source has told reporters that Ms Paulo’s extreme exhaustion “may have caused an episode of disorientation”, while police have confirmed that she is suffering from “some health problems, namely psychological” due to the pressure she has been under in the constant battle against Covid-19.
Two cell-phone pings have been investigated, but so far “without success”.
Célia Paulo is described as wearing green trousers with a red jacket.
