British man suffers cardiac arrest on Quinta do Lago beach

A British man in his 70’s was rescued this yesterday afternoon, when he had a cardiac arrest while walking on the beach at Quinta do Lago.

The alert was received by INEM emergency services at 12:58, informing them that there was a man in need of assistance on the beach, plus elements of the local Command of the Maritime Police of Faro were also dispatched.

INEM elements were already at the scene when police arrived, immediately starting to resuscitate the man using a defibrillator. His vital signs were recovered and he was taken to hospital in a stable condition.
