Body of a man discovered next to the stream in Paderne

The body of a 60-year-old man was found next to the Algibre stream, in Paderne, at the weekend. The authorities were alerted at 12:08 on Saturday by a citizen who was walking along the bank of the stream and came across the corpse.

The case was handed over to the PJ investigation department, which collected evidence to ascertain the existence of a possible crime. An official source reported that “the body showed signs of violence” and that “everything indicates that the corpse had been there for a few days”.

On site were members of the GNR and the Firefighters of Albufeira, the National Institute for Medical Emergency (INEM) and the Judiciary Police (PJ).
