Award-winning English rapper Mist shot and robbed in Quinta do Lago

rapper shotA 27-year-old English rapper was shot in the leg when a gang of burglars were carrying out a robbery of his residence whilst he was on holiday in Quinta do Lago. The thieves were reportedly foreigners, and after shooting the man raided the holiday property, stealing various valuables, including mobile phones, jewellery, and passports.

The incident occurred around 10 pm last night. Allegedly two or three hooded, Irish-accented men broke into the luxury home that the group of six had rented at the luxury resort in the Algarve.

The robbers shot the rapper in one leg, taking the jewels the artists was wearing, as well as any valuables that they could find.

Heavily-armed officers from two police forces, the GNR and the Judicial Police, went to the villa and forced entry to make sure the suspected burglars were not still inside.

Police have yet to release information about the burglars, and whether they have been caught yet.

Mist, real-name Rhys Thomas Sylvester, was taken by two friends to Faro Hospital and has been discharged. The rapper, a Mobo award winner who’s second EP, “Diamond in the Dirt”, peaked at number four on the UK Albums Chart last year.

According to the English press, the rapper had been in the Algarve since the beginning of the month, when he performed at Portimão’s Afrobeat Nation festival. Mist had been sharing various photos and videos with friends enjoying the Algarve before the incident occurred, however, since last night’s events he has remained silent.
