Armed man robs petrol station in Olhão

gnrlogoA man, armed with a knife, entered the service station shop at Pinheiros de Marim in Olhão, on Tuesday, forcing the sales person to hand over cash and tobacco.

The video surveillance images show the hooded male enters the Cepsa store at 21.28 and confront the employee.

The man had a knife with a large blade, and forced the assistant to hand over the money.

He also took several packets of tobacco and put them in a plastic bag before leaving the area by foot.

The assailant, calm throughout, always has his hoodie on his head and covered his face from the cameras.

More than €300 was stolen, plus several packs of tobacco and a mobile phone. The sole employee on duty was unharmed.

At the time of the robbery, there were no customers in the store or outside.

The crime is being investigated by the GNR in Faro.
