Portimão earthquake felt as far away as Olhão

A magnitude-3 earthquake struck the Algarve this evening, just after 7pm, with an epicenter about eight kilometres northwest of Portimão, according to the Portuguese weather service.

According to the institute responsible for monitoring seismic activity in Portugal, the shock was felt in a wide area and reported by several people on social media.
