Fewer road accidents but more fatalities and injured were recorded upto and including the third weekend of August than in the same period last year, according the results released by the GNR.
In the fifth weekend of this summer’s Operation Hermes, during which the GNR increased its activities, the GNR recorded 596 accidents (22 fewer than in the same period of 2016), four dead (three more), 27 seriously wounded (14 more) and 232 injured (24 more).
