MARSEILLE, France, April 3 (AFP) – A 26 year-old trapeze artist died Sunday after falling 15 metres to the ground during a circus show, emergency workers said.
The man was performing without a safety net in a display put on by the Tou Fou to Fly circus, which specialises in high-flying acts. He died on his way to hospital.
Police officials said it appeared his harness had been badly attached. A judicial investigation has been opened.
