PARIS, March 15 (AFP) – Two French nationals were among the 10 civilians killed in a double suicide bombing at the weekend in the southern Israeli port of Ashdod, the French foreign ministry said Monday, condemning the attack.
“Terrorism is unacceptable and unjustifiable. It only makes a solution to the conflict more elusive,” said ministry spokesman Herve Ladsous, offering France’s condolences to the Israeli authorities and relatives of the victims.
“We once again call on the parties to resume political dialogue without delay. The violence must urgently be stopped and the path to a political solution found through the implementation of the roadmap,” Ladsous added.
The spokesman did not identify the two French nationals killed Sunday when two teenage suicide bombers blew themselves up, an attack jointly claimed by the Palestinian militant groups Hamas and the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades.
