Three dead in French helicopter crash

AIX-EN-PROVENCE, France, Jan 29 (AFP) – An air-force helicopter crashed in southern France Thursday, killing three officers on board, police said.

The helicopter operating out of the Istres base came down at Roquefavour near the town of Aix-en-Provence, causing the outbreak of a firest fire.

Two water-carrying planes were despatched to douse the flames.
