WETZLAR – A courageous woman bake shop owner pelted a knife-wielding thief with buns and loaves of bread – forcing him to retreat without any dough from the cash register, police in Germany said Wednesday.
The 47-year-old baker told officers she ignored the danger to herself and thought only of her beloved shop.
“I get up at 3 o’clock in the morning to bake breakfast buns for my customers and then this guy comes in and wants my hard-earned money,” she said.
“I got so angry I started throwing everything I could get my hands on and chased him out into the street.”
