HAMBURG – German experts have developed a waterbed for puppies using a special plastic film with strengthened edges to resist chewing, the Institute for Animal Breeders at the University of Giessen says.
First tests of the “doggy bed” with mother dogs and their puppies were positive, with the puppies apparently regarding the oscillations of the heated bed like the amniotic fluid in the womb, the institute said.
The bed sells in Germany at between 45 and 75 euros and can be ordered elsewhere via the Internet: http://www.mik-shop.de
