Man arrested in Frankfurt bomb threat

FRANKFURT – Police shut down five tracks at the huge Frankfurt central train station Wednesday and arrested an Indian man who claimed to have planted a bomb.

German border protection police said that experts were examining a suitcase belonging to the suspect which had been left at a train platform. The Indian national who was arrested had told a travel bureau that he had a bomb with him, police said.

Five tracks were shut down for safety reasons while the suitcase was being examined, disrupting train traffic in and out of the railway station.
