Legal victory for woman in bikini bother

MUEHLHAUSEN – A woman in Germany has won a legal battle for a refund on a bikini top which developed too many wrinkles when wet.

The district court in Muehlhausen ruled in favour of the complaint after a specialist had confirmed a fault in the stitching during an experiment involving the bikini top and a ball.

A court spokesman said Friday the shop would have to refund the woman and pay the costs of the case including EUR 500 euros for the specialist.

The woman, who had paid EUR 75 for the bikini, sued the shop when it refused to offer her a discount.
