ARNSBERG – A court in Germany fined a self-avowed neo-Nazi about EUR 4,000 Tuesday for insisting on wearing a Nazi swastika armband in public.

The court in Arnsberg also handed down a three-month suspended jail term against the 25-year-old defendant.

Public display of Nazi emblems, salutes, uniforms or memorabilia is prohibited in Germany except for instructional or theatrical purposes, such as stage productions or film sets.
