BeatStreet in Berlin

Thursday, 14  April at 9pm in Joe’s Bar, Schönhauser Allee 157, Berlin.

The line-up for this month is:

Robert Grant : BeatStreets founder, curator and resident misanthrope. He and his work have appeared in journals, magazines and stages all across the world. On the night, he will be reading three new pieces from his most recent full collection untitled "Can’t say why".
 
Ben Porter Lewis:  a spoken word poet, writer, filmmaker and educator, currently living in Berlin. Over the past 15 years working in creative and artistic media of Slam/spoken word poetry, film and education. He has been a six-time grand slam champion in Denver Colorado, Ithaca, NY, Los Angeles, Long Beach, and Hollywood California the Slam Team which Ben Founded in 1996. Not to miss.
 
Julian Smith-Newman: Lives and writes in Berlin and is making his BeatStreet debuts this month. His poetry and short fiction has appeared in the Greenbelt Review, Literary Laundry, Chamber Four, Fawlt Magazine, and soon in Berlin’s SAND Journal. 
 
Amy McAllister: This actress and slam poet will be gracing the beatstreet stage for the second time. Her lightly paced, lyrically comedic poetry is a joy to hear and will engage any audience. A real treat.
 
Mc Jabber:  nothing short of a Berlin legend. His fast-paced lyrical style and stage presence will leave you staggered as you attempt to keep up with his thoughtfully unique poetry. Genius!
 
Well there you go, another show of poetry and wonderful live music. This month provided by the ever radiant Cera Impala and the gloriously talented Cameron Morgan.
