BERLIN – An exhibit titled ‘100,000 Years of Sex’ opens next month at one of Germany’s leading musuems for ancient history, a statement said Monday.
“Our history of sexuality will show everything that you always wanted to know about sex from the Stone Age to the 19th century,” said the Landesmuseum fuer Vorgeschichte in Dresden which is putting on the show.
The exhibit will range from ancient figures of men and women with exaggerated genitals and penis-form jewellery to modern illustrations of sexual activity.
“People having sex in all possible positions can be seen in the show,” said a statement by the museum.
The exhibit of 250 objects brought together from 60 museums opens October 10 and runs through January 8, 2006 at Dresden’s Japanischen Palais.
