BRUSSELS – Belgian airline SN Brussels is to start a new route to Glasgow in June.
The airline is adding the Scottish city to its other UK destinations of London, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester and Newcastle.
It will be the first time that SN Brussels has targeted a Scottish location.
“Recent studies show a high demand from business and leisure travellers for direct flights between Glasgow and the capital of Europe,” said a statement from the airline.
SN has predicted around 40,000 passengers will use the flight in 2005.
The cheapest fare will be set at EUR 149 to allow for convenient weekend visits to Scotland’s largest city.
Weekend tourists could also take in the Scottish capital Edinburgh, situated only a hour’s drive away and famed for its castle and historical Royal Mile.
