Lorry explosion kills one

BRUSSELS – Three lorries collided with each other on the E17 near a petrol station in Marke at about 11 am on Friday. At least one person has been killed and one other suffered minor injuries.

A passenger car was also involved in the accident. The three lorries and the passenger car burst into flames after the collision.

After the fire was put out the remains of one person were found under the wreck. The fuel tank of one of the lorries had exploded in the accident. All emergency services from the area rushed to provide assistance. The public prosecution department in Kortijk has sent a forensic expert to the scene.
