BRUSSELS – There was exceptionally heavy rainfall in Belgium once again on Thursday night.
The most precipitation fell in the province of Limburg: 62 litres of rain fell on Genk in the 24-hour period that ended this morning at 8 am. 55 litres fell in Maaseik.
Meteorologist Eddy De Mey reported these figures on Friday morning. 29 litres were recorded in Spa, and 21 litres in Brussels. Hardly one litre fell in Koksijde during the same period.
