Later in the evening KV Oostende came back from behind to beat Excel Mouscron 2-1.
In what was Club Brugge’s first home game of the new season the Belgian Champions beat Sporting Lokeren by the narrowest of margin in what was an at times lacklustre performance.
The only goal of the evening was at Refaelov penalty on 22 minutes that was awarded for pulling inside the box by Lokeren’s Galitsios.
The result leaves Club Brugge with 6 points from three games. Sporting Lokeren has 3 points.
KVO come back from behind
In the 8pm kick-off KV Oostende enjoyed their second home win of the season with a 2-1 victory against Excel Mouscron. The first half saw KVO take most of the initiative.
KVO needed to put things right and they knew it. El Ghannassy was the danger man for KV Oostende. However, he missed a great chance to equalise on the however. KVO pushed forward and 20 minutes from time Marusic forced a penalty. Musona converted the spot kick and it was 1-1.
The home side pushed forward and their efforts were rewarded when Marusic scored the winning goal on 83 minutes. The result leaves KV Oostende with 6 points from 3 games. Excel Mouscron is the only team with no points.
