Vlaams Belang Plans Study Trip to US

12 February 2007

BRUSSELS — Leaders of the Flemish nationalist party Vlaams Belang Frank Vanhecke
and Filip Dewinter will spend their spring holidays on a study trip to Washington D.C., Belga reports

Flemish nationalists want to exchange ideas with American ideologists who hold similar views to their own.

The topics of the Vlaams Belang study trip are immigration, growing pressure from Islam and international politics in the US.

At the top of the list of the people to meet are the members of the Federation for American Immigration Reform, the organisation behind the idea to build a wall along the Mexican border.
