Traffic jams due this weekend

The drivers’ association Touring issued a warning that traffic jams on the roads to ski resorts can be expected as soon as midday on Friday despite the lack of snow in European mountains.

Despite the dry and relatively warm weather much traffic can be expected during the weekend due to the fact that this year Flemish, Walloon and some French people will be on holiday at the same time. 

Touring advises Belgian residents to wait until Sunday if they plan on driving to a ski resort in the Alps. The association also said that traffic jams can be expected in Austria, Germany and France.
