Orla McLoughlin, Head of ISF Tervuren says: “We have had a busy summer, re-branding the whole school. When the students returned on 4th September all of the new signage was in place, our website had been redesigned and we were happy to hand over our brand new blue and white school wear with the ISF badge, and matching back packs. Parents, students and staff have been very positive about the change and are excited to start the new school year as ISF Tervuren“
This name change further supports ISF’s vision of “one school – two campuses” where students and staff of both campuses will collaborate, share best practices and engage with each other on many different levels such as the application of educational technologies (ISF is Belgium’s first Google for Education School), school trips, professional development, curriculum etc.
Orla McLoughlin continues: Just like our sister school in Waterloo, ISF Tervuren continues to fulfil the requirements of the UK National Curriculum and now follows the adapted International Primary Curriculum which meets the needs of internationally mobile families. Our school retains its first class accreditation from the Council of British International Schools, and remains attractive to all families posted to jobs in the Brussels and Leuven area.”
The name change will not only bring these two school campuses closer together but will also help integrate the new ISF International Daycare, which provides creche facilities for children aged 6 weeks to three years old and is located opposite to ISF Tervuren school.
International School of Flanders
International School of Flanders operates international primary and secondary schools from two campuses.
ISF Tervuren has served expatriate families and their young children in the Tervuren area for over 40 years. We are highly regarded in the community and we hold prized accreditations with the Council of British International School and the Association of British Schools Overseas.
ISF Waterloo is a vibrant and friendly international school on the Flanders-Wallonia borders near Brussels. We encourage creativity and out of box thinking – we develop not just academically strong students, but also respectful, responsible and self-confident young people.
