BRUSSELS – Aris, whose logo depicting two hands about to shake resembles the yin and yang sign, will be partly subsidised – EUR 150,000 – by the ministry of employment.

Aris is, in accordance with the 2004 governmental declaration, emphasising the importance of diminishing unemployment rate of people under the age of 30.

Ironically, young and underqualified unemployed Belgians are one of the groups least registered with temporary job agencies even if temporary work may be their best chance at entering the job market.

Aris will, therefore, target a particularly sensitive group and management has been clear: the goal is not to force youth into the job market but to create opportunities for those who are motivated.

Local governments will use this service for jobs in the delivery, maintenance, packaging and distribution sectors, and already Daoust Interim, a private temporary job agency, has voiced its willingness to work with Aris.
