Security perimeter around Brussels

BRUSSELS – Police of the Brussels-Elsene district are reminding the public that a security perimeter will be in place around the Schumanplein in the European district of Brussels from Thursday through Saturday. This extra security will be deployed because of the European summit on 21 and 22 June.

Motorists may enter the perimeter via the Archimedesstraat and the Oudergemselaan but parking within its limits is forbidden.

Only local traffic will be possible on a number of streets around the Shuman rotunda. Those who have official business within the perimeter can get a transit pass. .

The Schuman metro and train station will be open during the summit. Only the Froissartstraat entrance to the metro station will be closed.
