BRUSSELS — Armed robbers escaped with a suspected large amount of diamonds after a daring heist at Zaventem Airport on Thursday night.

The four stormed into the office of courier business Federal Express at Brucargo at the Zaventem Airport at about 9pm on Thursday.

No one was injured in the robbery, Flemish public broadcaster VRT reported.

The judiciary has refused to reveal the amount of jewels stolen, but it was reportedly a significant theft.

Workers of the firm were threatened, but no one was injured. Police launched a massive search operation, but no arrests have been made.
