3 November 2004

BRUSSELS – Belgium’s marginal job growth in 2003 was almost entirely due to the creation of posts in the public sector, it was reported on Wednesday.

The total number of jobs created in this sector was 10,000, compared to 8,000 jobs lost in the private sector.

The statistics were taken from national figures published on Wednesday.
