19 April 2007

BRUSSELS – Combination packages of telephone, internet and digital television services offered in Belgium are generally more expensive than in neighbouring countries, according to a comparative study by consumer organisation Test-Aankoop.

The most expensive service is from Belgacom, which charges EUR 89 a month for its “triple play” package. The cheapest available in Flanders, from Telenet, costs about EUR 66 a month.

These offers are much more expensive than those in France, which vary between EUR 30 and 40 a month. Packages in Great Britain and the Netherlands cost around EUR 70 a month.
