Petrol prices to rise

17 may 2004

BRUSSELS – Petrol prices across Belgium will go up on Wednesday in response to the rising cost of crude oil.

From Wednesday the maximum price for 95 octane unleaded petrol will be EUR 1.1730 per litre and for 98 octane EUR 1.2040 per litre.

Belgian airline SN Brussels is blaming the cost of fuel for its decision to slap an EUR 8 surcharge on all of its tickets for flights to European destinations and an EUR 20 surcharge on African flights.
