BRUSSELS – Geneviève Lhermitte, the mother who killed her five children in Nivelles on 28 February, wrote J.U.D. with the blood of one of the children on the bathroom mirror of Doctor Schaar, a family friend and the children’s godfather.

The newspaper Le Soir reported this on Wednesday. The doctor lived in an apartment above the home of the woman and her five children.

During the reconstruction of the crime on 25 April, Lhermitte was questioned about the message on the mirror. The message was discovered by detectives on the day of the tragedy. The letters J.U.D. were written with the blood of 11-year-old daughter Nora.

The three letters stand for “Judas,” Lhermitte said.

Since her arrest the woman has blamed her actions on her anger towards Schaar. Still she refused to explain why she called him “Judas.”
