15 December 2004

BRUSSELS – New Years night busses will be on hand to transport party-goers to and from Belgium’s main towns.

The busses, laid on by TEC, will operate through New Years Eve from 7pm to 7am in Brabant Wallon and Namur-Luxembourg.

The services of the “Noctambus” will run every hour or half hour.

The ‘Doudingue’ service will connect Braine-l’Alleud with Brussels, Nivelles, Wavre and Rixensart.

The ‘Beach’ and the ‘Marche Couvert’ will connect Hannut with Jodoigne, Orp, Opheylissem and Jandrain.

Finally, the ‘Cactus’, heading for Auderghem, will depart from Louvain-la-Neuve, Ottignies and Wavre.

TEC has announced an increase on last year’s service, with 60 journeys now covering 5400 destinations.

The regional TEC Namur-Luxembourg no 34 bus will run from 9pm on New Year’s Eve until 7am on 1 January, stopping at 34 night spots in the two provinces.

All of the timetables can be found on the TEC website, www.infotec.be, or in paper form at TEC outlets.
