National Labor Council

The Social Parliament for Belgian  and EU Legislation

Social legislation heavily impacts your company as well as your staff.  Do you understand how social rules and regulations are negotiated?  Do you know who the negotiators are?  Do you realize you may have a say in these negotiations?

To answer these questions, don’t miss this unique opportunity to get to know the National Labor Council (NLC) in its role as social parliament for Belgian and EU legislation as well as the leaders of the Christian and Socialist Trade Unions and of the Federation of Belgian Enterprises (FEB/VBO).

At this conference, Paul Windey, President of the NLC, will give a thorough insight into the role of the NLC in both national as well as European social matters.

Pieter Timmermans, Managing Director of FEB/VBO, Marc Leemans, National Secretary of the Belgian Christian Trade Union ACV/CSC, Rudy De Leeuw, President of the Belgian Socialist Trade Union ABVV/FGTB and representatives of NLC and AmCham Belgium’s HR Committee will have a moderated discussion on how the Generation Pact will impact working times and labor market flexibility and on the role of trade unions in Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and Belgian affiliates of foreign companies. They will also discuss the involvement of the NLC in drafting and implementing EU legislation.
