BRUSSELS – Yves Leterme and Inge Vervotte will be tendering their resignation as Flemish ministers next Wednesday.  On Thursday they will take their oath before the federal Parliament and on Friday morning Kris Peeters will be sworn in as the new minister president of Flanders.

The Flemish Parliament will also most likely be assembled on Friday for an extra hearing during which two new Flemish Christian Democrat CD&V ministers will be sworn in, followed by a speech from the new minister president. The CD&V leadership have agreed on this.

There will be no changes to ministers, portfolios or powers in the other parties serving in the Flemish government. It continues to be speculation who the two new CD&V ministers will be.
