BRUSSELS – King Albert starts his rehabilitation process today after his hip replacement procedure. Doctor Etienne Willemart of the Sint-Jan Clinic in Brussels said this on Friday during a press meeting. The doctors say the king will remain in hospital for another six to eight days.
The king was sitting upright yesterday and had a good night’s rest. The first 48 hours after the surgery, which are critical according to the doctor, went smoothly.
King Albert will attempt a few steps in the corridor of the hospital today. The next update on his condition will be given when he is released from hospital.
