BRUSSELS – The king’s health is in excellent condition, Patrick Gérard, the general director of the Sint-Jan Clinic said at a briefing on Thursday morning.
King Albert underwent a hip replacement operation on Tuesday evening after suffering a broken leg. The king had his first session with the physical therapist on Thursday morning. He will be sitting upright today but will not start walking again until the weekend.
King Albert will receive visitors in his private room on Thursday.
