Kenny B. too drunk to drive

7 February 2007

BRUSSELS – Kenny B., the alleged perpetrator in the fatal stabbing in Ostend on Saturday, had so much alcohol in his blood that he would have been unable to drive a car.

The public prosecution department in Bruges announced this on Wednesday afternoon. The department did not give any exact percentages. The victims in the attack had less alcohol in their blood but were also under the influence.

The 18-year old suspect showed the highest concentrations of alcohol. Slight traces of cannabis use were also found in his blood. The prosecutor said this could still be in his blood from a joint smoked days before the incident.

No other illicit substances were found in the victims’ blood.
