BRUSSELS – Police searched the study of doctor Michel Schaar on Tuesday. Schaar was the godfather of the five children killed by their mother two weeks ago.
Authorities wanted to recover all the life-insurance policies of the Moqadem-Lhermitte couple. The investigators reportedly also took Schaar’s accounting records and the children’s medical files.
The doctor’s lawyer and the public prosecutor in Nijvel have confirmed this report.
Docter Schaar has reported to the court that he wants to file for damages to help him “understand and work through” the tragedy.
