International Speech contest in Brussels

Announcement

Each spring, some of the best public speakers in Belgium face off for a chance to compete in the International Speech Contest and move towards the title of the World Champion of Public Speaking, under the auspices of Toastmasters International.

On 17 April 2010, at 12:00, the Black Forest Toastmasters of Brussels is organising the joint Area B1 and B2 International Speech contest, accompanied by the Evaluation Speech Contest, in co-operation with The Hub Brussels. “TALENT”, as a central theme of the event, celebrates the gift of persuasive speaking that can truly flourish in a positive and inspiring community setting that our toastmaster clubs are known for.

Toastmasters International is a non-profit organisation offering a proven and enjoyable way to practice and hone communication and leadership skills to its 250,000 members in 106 countries all over the world. It is a world leader in helping people become more competent and comfortable in front of an audience. In Belgium, where a dozen clubs practice in five different languages uniting locals and expats from all walks of life, so they can learn from each other, the  toastmaster movement is probably the most affordable way to reach one’s full potential as a leader and a speaker.

The Hub Brussels members and the general public are cordially invited to join the in The HUB’s Big Space for an afternoon of competition, networking and fun. The full registration details are available at http://tinyurl.com/blackforesttoastmasters. Please register early, since the places are limited.
