BRUSSELS – A gas explosion in the town of Gilly has seriously injured one person.
The victim was the owner of a house in Rue des Nutons, which was flattened by the blast.
He has been transferred to a hospital in Loverval with severe burns.
The neighbouring house and a nearby block of flats were also damaged in the incident and two parked cars were crushed.
A police sniffer dog was at the scene on Monday to determine whether anyone else had been buried in the rubble.
