Prince Amedeo married Italy’s Lili Rosbosch last July. The magazine Story reports that he failed to ask his uncle, King Filip, for permission on purpose and as a result of article 85 of the Belgian Constitution he has now lost his place in the line of succession. Prince Amedeo was 6th in line behind King Filip’s four children and his mother, Princess Astrid.

Prince Amedeo’s wife Lili is now Archduchess of Austria and Princess of Hungary thanks to Prince Amedeo’s father’s position. Prince Lorenz is Archduke of Austria. Princess Lili has no right to the title Princess of Belgium.
