BRUSSELS – More than 700 people attended a recital in aid of the victims of the Ghislenghien gas disaster at Ath, which raised EUR 30, 000 it was reported on Monday.
Belgian singers Jose Van Dam and Jean Claude Drouot attracted a full house on Sunday night at the town’s Saint-Julien Church, with organisers having to disappoint some people who wanted tickets.
Among those in the audience were Princess Mathilde and victims and families of the explosion which killed 23 people.
The profits of the night will go to the families and victims of the Ghislenghien blast.
