Dindane Belgium’s player of the year

BRUSSELS – Ivory Coast and Anderlecht football ace Aruna Dindane has won Belgium’s coveted ‘Players’ Player of the Year Award, it was announced on Tuesday.

The Ivorian player won the prize following an annual poll of Belgium’s first division players.

He received a total of 448 votes.

The accolade marks the culmination of a great year for the 23-year-old player.

Dindane has helped his club win their 27th title and is also Anderlecht’s top scorer this season with 14 goals so far.

Earlier this season Dindane became the first ever African player in Belgium to win the coveted Golden Shoe prize.
