Child raped with mother’s permission

BRUSSELS – A couple from near Beaumont in the province Henegouwen was detained last week. The man and woman are accused of raping the woman’s daughter. The woman was reportedly actively involved in the rape.

The rape practices allegedly began in 2005, the girl was then not yet ten. The social workers have reported the couple to the police. The man and woman, who are now divorced, were taken into custody on Wednesday. Their detention was confirmed by the court in Charleroi.

The man and woman have made confessions and the judicial investigation is to be continued.
