Brussels Rhythm and Blues Club – May 2009 concert

Brussels Rhythm and Blues Club

John Frick and the Blues Hombres + The Witness

John Frick and the Blues Hombres are making a welcome return after their blistering performance at the BRBC in June 2008 (see Concert Videos section). They play original, genuine house-rocking blues music, including Elmore James, Jimmy Reed, Hound Dog Taylor, Muddy Waters, etc. Blues singer/guitarist/songwriter John Frick was a founding member of what became one of South Africa’s most popular blues bands, The Blues Broers. Since then he has entertained audiences in Europe, Africa, America and Australia. He came to The Netherlands in 1993 and currently lives in Belgium. He plays with Steve Kotlarchuk (Canada/USA) on electric bass and the BRBC’s very own Geoff Meade on drums.
BRBC would not be BRBC without house band The Witness performing their own outstanding compositions plus renditions of Jimmy Reed, the Flaming Groovies, the Drifters, Rolling Stones, the Kinks, and others.
